GED High School Equivalency Program

Improve your Adult Basic Education skills or study to take your High School Equivalency Test.
Whether you're just wanting to learn Adult Basic Education skills or need a refresher on the skills you need to pass your High School Equivalency test, the Adult Education program could be a great option for you.
Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes: Learn how to read, write, and basic math skills at your own level.
High School Equivalency/GED classes: For those who are at a specific reading level and want to refresh their academic skills.
Schedule
Morning and evening classes are available to fit your schedule. Most classes meet three days per week.
Location
Classes are held on the main campus in Normal, Illinois. Classes are also offered in Pontiac and Lincoln, Illinois.
Cost
There is no cost to you. Classes are paid by state and federal grants.
Transportation
Once you enroll, you'll get a Heartland student ID. With that ID, you can ride Connect Transit buses for free.

Get started
Before you can start class, you'll need to take a reading and math assessment so we know which class is best for you. Once we know your level and give you an orientation to our program, you'll be ready to begin classes.
