Alternative Spring Break

Join other Heartland students as we volunteer in our nation's capitol, Washington D.C.

Alternative Spring Break challenges students to become leaders in cultural and social awareness through education, strong direct service and reflection.

If you are interested in attending this year's alternative spring break trip, fill out the ASB Participant Application

You must be currently enrolled in Heartland classes, maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and have no student code of conduct violations.

Applications are due November 22nd, 2019 by noon.

Students will be notified if they have been selected for the trip by the end of the fall semester.

Planning Ahead

Pre-Trip

After you've been selected to attend the trip, you should expect regular communication from the Student Engagement Office and Trip Advisors. You will be required to attend a pre-trip meeting on February 28th.  Other requirements (meetings, events, fundraisers, etc.) will be announced as far in advance as possible.
