Faculty in Heartland's science department are ready to provide you with the support and skills you need to meet your educational and professional goals.

We use active, hands-on learning strategies to bring course content to life. Depending on what science classes you choose, you could find yourself:

• collecting and analyzing local water samples in the chemistry laboratory
• using the greenhouse to study plant life stages
• monitoring the Heartland weather station
• taking field trips to study our geological past and species of the present

If you plan to complete your Associates of Arts or Associates of Science degree or plan to transfer your credits to another institution, we offer courses in:
